Le Terrazze is a pretty chalet in stone situated in the small village of Plesio, at 500m of altitude on the west side of the lake, at only 4km away from Menaggio, 30km from Lugano and 40km away from Como. The apartment set in a sunny and quite position is very cosy and comfortable and has a nice garden of around 500 meters, private patio at the back with garden furniture, table, chairs, sun beds and sun umbrella, where you can relax and unwind with a cold drink and enjoy the spectacular views across the lake. A barbecue is also provided on the patio for al fresco dining while admiring the views. An electric gate gives direct access to the property. The owners live in the front part of the building, while the holiday home is next door with it's own private entrance. Private parking place in front of the property. It is an ideal location for a quiet and relaxing holiday, immersed in nature. The surroundings offer an astonishing variety of historical and environmental sceneries and you can choose between many excursions you can make on our mountains. One of them is Valle Sanagra which is constituted by the homonymous basin and is very interesting thanks to its natural almost intact aspect. Several paths lead to the sources of " troi" from where Chiarella takes its water. The itineraries of "Sentiero delle 4 Valli" and "Via dei Monti Lariani"are also worth to be mentioned. The most common destination is Rifugio Menaggio, at 1400 m of altitude. The village combines the characteristics of a mountain place and of a lake resort, has a wonderful position overlooking the centre of the Lake. Within a short walk you can reach the village centre, only 500 meters away, with its’ small shops, restaurant and pizzerias.

The mild climate and picturesque surroundings guarantee a relaxing and peaceful stay for all tastes and is also a beautiful starting point for excursions to the entire lake. Here are also two famous villas that are certainly worth a visit: Villa Cipressi boasts a large botanical garden while the gardens of Villa Monastero offer many exotic species, temples, statues and stunning views of the whole lake. Varenna’s hamlets such as Perledo, Vezio and Esino Lario are also nice places to visit before setting out trips to the mountain Grigne. For those who like walking we recommend the “Greenway del Lago”, a wonderful walk along the lake discovering villas, gardens, Roman findings, quaint villages, restaurants, old Italian architecture, and expansive views. You can do the entire walk in one go in about 3 hours and a half, or if you prefer stop and continue with public transport. The whole Greenway is 10.5 km going through the villages of Colonno, Sala Comacina, Ossuccio, Lenno, Mezzegra, Tremezzo and Griante. Villa Barbara is in the village of Colico on the east bank of the lake, 10 km from Domaso and 15 km from Bellano. Piona Abbey is nearby, where grey friars have been producing liqueurs and herbal medicines known throughout Italy for their healing powers for more than 150 years.
