In front of village you can see the only island in the lake, 'Isola Comacina', accessible by boat. Here you can visit the small Romanesque style church of S. Giovanni and the even older church of Sant’Eufemia which dates back to the 11th century. Just a short distance from here you can visit Villa Carlotta, with its wonderful botanical garden and the statue of Canova inside. The village offers restaurants, where you can taste typical lake dishes, shops, boat, ferry service and a few cafés. The exclusive sandy beach of the Lido of Lenno is nearby, popular in the day for beach lovers, and popular in the evening for its nightlife. Finestra sull’isola is situated on the first floor and has a nice balcony from where you enjoy the lovely firework display that lights up the whole lake, in occasion of the San Giovanni festival that takes place every year at the last weekend of June.
