The residence is situated in Pescau, a romantic and charming hamlet in Lezzeno that spreads out directly on the lake, at 23km away from the charming town of Como and just 7km away from Bellagio, the famous 'pearl of Lario', well known in the world for its beautiful location, situated between the green of the mountains and the blue of the lake and surrounded by wonderful blossoming gardens.
This small hamlet, set in a wonderful panoramic position just in front of Comacina Island is very peaceful characterized by narrow alleys and fascinating houses and it is right in this scenery that the residence Antica Dimora is located. The building that has been recently renewed is composed of three apartments two of which are rented as holiday homes.
Nearby you can enjoy romantic walks through the park of villa Citterio, arriving down to the dock, admiring the breathtaking landscape where the green of the mountains and the gardens joins together with the blue colour of the water in perfect harmony. The whole lake front here is very picturesque and relaxing.
In Lezzeno you can visit the Sactuary of Saint Anne with its’ baroque facade and the frescos dating back to the 18th century and the Church of the SS. Quirico and Giulitta, containing a large frescoes of the painter G. Quaglio, who came from the Intelvi Valley. It is worth taking a boat trip to see the Grotta dei Bulberi or the Grotta Azzurra, caves famous for the coloured effects the sunlight has on them.
Not far from the residence is the public boat landing stage where boats and hydrofoils take you to the many towns and villages that scatter the length of Lake Como. The lakeside road also gives you easy access to nearby Bellagio and the other neighbouring towns (there is a bus stop on the main road, 5 minutes away). Just a couple minutes away there are several small food shops in the village, a news agency and a few restaurants.
There is a public car park nearby.

TOWN OF BELLAGIO
BELLAGIO - Lake ComoKnown as the "pearl" of the Lake Como, Bellagio is the most famous place on the lake. Its particular conformation has enchanted artists and writers from all over the world and for several centuries. It is on the extreme point of the promontory that divides the lake in the two branches of Como and Lecco. The town extends itself partly on the coast zone and partly on the slopes of the promontory. Thanks to this particular location there is an extraordinary panoramic variety and the sight you can have over the whole lake. Also the extreme northern horizon of the Pre-Alps is perceived. Among the more suggestive panoramic points there are the park of Villa Serbelloni and the peak of the mountain St. Primo, from where, in particularly clear days, it is possible to see the Alps from the Monte Bianco to the Ortles and the Madonnina of the Duomo (cathedral) in Milan. Bellagio, with its mild climate in winter and moderate in summer, with its characteristic historical centre and its luxuriant and various flowers, is a place of ideal stay for the ones who love the rest and the walks. It also offers during the summer different water sport structures. In the high part of the town there is near a tower, the only part left of the ancient defensive system, the basilica of St. Giacomo, built by the Maestro Comacini. There are then the oratory of S. Giorgio and the rests of the church of S. Peter Apostle, incorporated in the Villa Serbelloni. In Bellagio are also famous the villas, with the relative parks. Here, close to the local flora, rare and exotic plants are found in splendid gardens in Italian or English style. The park of Villa Serbelloni is considered one of the most beautiful villas in Italy, among Villa Melzi, Villa Poldi Pezzoli, Villa Giulia and Villa Belmonte. There are a lot of excursions and trips to do around Bellagio. One of the most known destination is the Park of the S. Primo mountain, that can be reached by car (14 kms). From here up to the peak there are about three hours of walk. You can reach the town on the other side of the lake by boat or hydroplane. The gastronomic specialties of the zone are lake fishes. WHAT TO VISIT: Basilica of S. Giacomo. Built in the XII century, the Romanesque basilica of S. Giacomo introduces three aisles with apses decorated to the outside from bows. Inside there are different Romanesque sculptures and two tables of School Umbra from XV century. A XVIII century wooden altar is also present. The bell tower of the XVI century has been modified during the following centuries. Villa Melzi Nowadays, Villa Gallarati Scotti, once called Melzi, is a building from the neoclassic lines built between 1810 and 1815 on sketch of G. Albertolli. Inside, among numerous works of art, there are pictures by Appiani and sculptures by Canova. In the chapel, one of the graves are work of V.Vela. A vast park, that goes down to the lake, surrounds the villa. Villa Poldi Pezzoli Also called Villa Trivulzio, it introduces the typical lines of the neo-gothic taste of the nineteenth-century. In the park, in the place Loppia, there is the Romanesque church of S. Maria, already belonging to a Benedictine monastic complex suppressed in the XVI century. Villa Serbelloni Built in the XVI century and practically re-made in the following century, enriched by a great park that extends on the promontory stretched out in the lake, the villa currently introduces it as a building of the air nineteenth-century Centre of the cultural Foundation Rockefeller, it incorporates a Romanesque small church.
