Vista Alto Lario is a pretty apartment completely renewed located on the ground floor of a private house in Montemezzo, in the peaceful hillside location of Gera Lario, in the north area of Lake Como. It is very cosy and comfortable with modern and elegant furnishings and a lovely patio with BBQ, outside dining tables & chairs enjoying an exceptional lake view. The apartment above belongs to the owners who sometimes spend some weekends here. Gera Lario and the whole Northern part of the lake is particularly suited to water sport disciplines; in fact Thanks to the presence of its constant wind this is a real heaven for lovers of windsurf and sailing in general. Well-equipped centres are situated in Gera Lario and in towns nearby providing a wide range of courses, lessons and water sport equipment rental.
The northern part of the lake is also particularly interesting for its landscape and nature; the mountains and the valleys nearby offer good possibilities to go on bike-tours and mountain excursions: The hills and mountains above Gera Lario rise up to around 2000 metres between S. Bartolomeo over Gera Lario and Sorico until they reach Menaggio offering many scenic walks and views; or more over the “La Via dei Monti Lariani” (The Larian Mountains Route); that begins at the southern end of Lake Como and stretches the upper Lake reach Sorico.
Gera Lario has also a nice boat harbour, that is connected with boats and hydrofoils of navigation to the main towns of the lake.

Gera Lario is an old fishing village located in the north of Lake Como, it is one of the most windiest areas of the lake making it a popular holiday destination for water sports enthusiasts. It is also a popular starting point strategic point for hiking & trekking enthusiasts beautiful shaded paths allow to reach the mountain villages, on foot or by mountain bike, and continue until reaching the peaks of the mountains, where you can enjoy a spectacular view across Lake Como. A visit to the church of San Vincenzo, built in the late eleventh century, where once stood a Roman villa is also worth a visit.
