Chalet Bellavista is a detached house made in stone located in Camnasco, an old hamlet that nowadays counts one only family living there all year round, while several people come here during the summer season to spend some time in total relax away from the everyday city life.
This lovely modest rustic cottage that was once used as a shepherd shelter during the summer is reachable only on foot. It is located at 600m altitude with fantastic views over the lake at 6km away from Santa Maria Rezzonico. It’s an ideal place for people who is looking for a relaxing holiday and is also a good starting point for mountain excursions and for trekking. You can enjoy many walks departing from the carriage road to the higher hamlets, discovering lovely views of undisturbed natural scenery and for those who love hiking can set out on many mountain excursions and choosing from the variety of trekking routes that this area offers.
The Chalet has a pretty garden of around 70m overlooking the entire lake: it has a spectacular panoramic view over the 2 branches and over the famous town of Bellagio.
To reach the house you leave your car on the public parking at 50m away and follow a short path to the gate of the house.
There are some shops and restaurants in the village of S. Maria Rezzonico, while for extensive shopping day and night life Menaggio, a lively town with the oldest golf course and tennis courts, is only a few kilometres away.

The Chalet is furnished in a country style, about 60 sqm, on 2 floors. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with 2 gas burners, living room with Sat-TV, fireplace, bathroom. Entrance on the terrace with a wonderful view on the lake and garden equipped with table, chairs and deckchairs, where it is possible to eat outdoors. On the first floor, accessible through a spiral staircase, there is one bedroom with double bed and 2 bunkbeds, bathroom with shower. Gas and electricity included in the price. Bed linen, bath towels and kitchen linen included.

The territory around Santa Maria Rezzonico spreads out from the north-west coast of Lake Como to the foot of Monte Bregagno, where the hamlets lie. Rezzonico is a small village of houses and towers, narrow streets, steep roads with arcades and porticos. In the past it was an important nucleus dominated by the Della Torre family. The Castle Della Torre was built during the 10th century and it belonged to of whom today remains the Castello della Torre, a little more than 200 meters above the waters edge, of which remain only the foundations of the wall and a 14th century crenulated Tower, which is now a private house. It is good starting point for mountain excursions and for trekking in the mountains towards Bregnano and to the lake resorts nearby like Piona and its Abbey. TO VISIT: Parrish church of Santa Maria Assunta, built in 1462 for the Dominican friars. The bell tower shows sign of roman origins. It has one nave and on the façade of the church an interesting marble portal represents the symbols of the Passion of Jesus, on its left there is a Madonna with Child carved in marble from Musso. Inside, the first chapel was decorated by Sigismondo de Magistris in 1541 and shows the “Madonna della Misericordia”.Villa Camilla. The Villa has a wonderful position facing southeast, right in the centre lake. From here you can enjoy a wonderful panorama of the three branches of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains.. It is a mid XIX century building and has always belonged to the Milanese family of Marquis of Rozzano who used it as a holiday home. Inside the villa has mosaic floorings and a wonderful wooden staircase. The park remained as it was 150 years ago, with its terraced gardens, and secular trees and plants.

Comments	Ein gepflegtes, gut ausgestattetes Idyll in der Abgeschiedenheit des Sommerdörfchens mit herrlichem Panorama hoch über dem See. Die paar Kilometer Fahrt vom Seeufer hinauf nehmen wir für Aussicht, Stille und Kühle sehr gern in Kauf. Herzlich der Empfang. Für zwei bis drei Gäste schön geräumig, mit vieren voll belegt.

Comments	Services of the agency were excellent. The owner was super, but his knowledge of English or german was bad The house was clean and perfect, however the steep staircase is not good for small children The access to the location of Camnasco is not so easy. The quiet position was ideal for us, but the distance from the village and restaurants may be a problem for somebody else. The price is rather high, if the property is so far from the civilization.

Comments	Wir haben uns trotz schlechtem Wetter und Kälte sehr wohl gefühlt. Der grandiose Blick über den See und ein gemütlicher Kamin am Abend haben uns dafür entschädigt. Die viertelstündige tägliche Fahrt ins Bergdorf Camnasco hat sich immer wieder gelohnt.
