The Residence I Pini Marittimi is at Griante-Cadenabbia, one of the most beautiful parts of the lake. This area, called "Tremezzina", is made even more agreeable by its microclimate: both the summer and winter seasons are very appealing, with mild temperatures for 10 months a year.
Several world famous celebrities have villas here (Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Versace, etc.).
The American actor Brad Pitt recently bought a wonderful villa here right on the lake, where he comes with his Hollywood friend George Clooney to spend long holiday periods away from the spotlights and chaos of Los Angeles. If you decide to spend a holiday at Griante, you will risk to bump into celebrities from the world of football, show business and fashion at the baker's or newsagent's. George Clooney recently declared in the American press and on television that he loves Lake Como and has rediscovered himself and the values he believes in, in the beautiful lake scenery. You can take ferries from here to all other lake locations, nearby Como and the noble Lugano with its casinos which liven up the night life. It is ideal for those who wish to spend a peaceful holiday in a beautiful place near the beach, but above all near the most important Renaissance villas on the lake: Villa Carlotta, Villa d'Este, Villa Balbianello, Villa Melzi, Villa Cipressi, Villa Monastero and Villa Olmo.
The residence is a complex of 5 flats in 2 houses, 2 of which are rented as holiday homes. Apartment GRA100 is situated in one house on the ground floor, while GRA102 is situated one the first floor of the other building next door. The other flats are used by the owners, who are particularly hospitable and helpful.
You can sunbathe beside the swimming pool (8 x 4 m), where there is an equipped solarium with deckchairs, gazebo, table and garden chairs, which the guests and owners may freely use. The flat on the ground floor has the garden around the house. The other one on the first floor uses the garden and solarium surrounding the swimming pool. All the flats have a wonderful view of the lake and Bellagio. The old town centre is about 500 m away, with shops, bars and restaurants nearby.
There is a white beach with pool about 200 m away.
The flats are modestly and simply furnished, and heated with a wood burning stove or electric heater.

Apartment on the ground floor with living room with 2 sofas. Kitchen with oven and stove with 4 fires, dining table. Double bedroom with large closet and bedroom with 2 single beds. Bathroom with tub, washing machine. Kitchen and bed linen included. Consumption costs included in the price.

In the past Griante has given hospitality to many famous people, like Giuseppe Verdi for example who wrote here part of his work "La Traviata”, or the German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer who used to come here in search of peace. Cadenabbia is the most important hamlet of Griante, that starches out on the lake front. It faces the promontory of Bellagio and is a superb parade of hotels and villas surround by lovely parks: Villa Carlotta, built in 1747, Villa Margherita Ricordi, where Verdi wrote part of his Traviata and, Villa Rosa where Adenauer spent his holidays.

Comments	Very pleasant place. Garden. Swimming pool. The location is very practical: close to town, food store, children games, lake, ferries, few kilometers to Menaggio. Easy to go both to Como or to Porlezza on lake of Lugano (pleasant beach). The owners live here, and were very kind with the children.

Comments	Het huis ligt tussen een aantal andere huizen wat hoger boven het meer. Via een trap kun je het dorpje te voet bereiken. In het dorp zelf is weinig te beleven maar in de omgeving is van alles te doen. Het huis is ruim, schoon en de eigenaren erg vriendelijk. Het zwembad en de tuin zijn goed onderhouden. Voor families met kleinie kinderen ideaal.
