Giardino sul Lago is situated in Ossuccio, a small village located on the western shore of the lake enjoying a breathtaking view in front of the only island of Lake Como, Isola Comacina.
The villa is composed of 2 apartments both on the ground floor that are are rented as holiday homes. Giardino sul Lago is an apartment on the ground floor with pretty private garden with table, chairs and sun beds, where you can sunbathe and absorb the relaxed atmosphere that this beautiful place offers.
The interiors of the apartment create an enchanting atmosphere providing comfort, intimacy and romanticism.
The villa is situated 800 meters away from the centre where you can find a selection of bars, restaurants and shops and a nice beach in front of Isola Comacina.
It is a really pretty village and has a lovely lakeside location. It is famous for the two bell towers prominent on the lake front: the sail shaped’ tower of S.Giacomo and the Moorish tower of the Church of S. Maria Maddalena ad Ospedaletto
Ossuccio is an ideal starting point for walkers. One walk in particular is quite steep, which passes fourteen baroque churches and leads to the 'Santuario della Madonna del Soccorso
There are also many well known villas, especially the imposing 'Villa del Balbiano' and the 'Villa Leoni'. From here you can easily reach the next-door village of Sala Comacina where you can get the Taxi boat to visit Isola Comacina.
Lenno is just 1km away offering the popular beach Lido di Lenno and well known Villa Balbianello, while the bigger village of Menaggio is 8km away from where you can catch the ferry boat to visit Bellagio and Varenna.

Giardino sul Lago is a semi-detached villa of 70 sqm on the ground floor with independent entrance composed of: living room with double sofa bed, TV-SAT; fully equipped kitchen with stove with four ring burners, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and dining table. Double bedroom with wardrobe and wonderful lake view; window doors giving access to garden; bedroom with two single beds; bathroom with shower; at the basement level second bathroom with shower and washing machine, double garage. Heated swimming pool to share with the villas nearby. Private garden with sun beds, table, chairs and sun umbrella.
Bed linen and kitchenware included. Gas, electricity and final cleaning included in the price.

EXTRAS
Towels to be brought or rented upon request (€5 per person).
Heating to be paid in regard to consumption.

CITY TAX (FROM THE 1ST APRIL TO THE 31ST OCTOBER 2012) : Euro 0,50 per person (over 12 years; -50% children under 12 years), per day - to be paid upon arrival for the first 7 nights.

Ossuccio is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Lake Como with a lovely view on Isola Comacina, Bellagio peninsula and the Grigne mountains.
Certainly worth a visit is the Sacro Monte di Ossuccio, located on a hillside slope between olive groves and woods, with its fourteen Baroque inspired chapels, built between 1635 and 1710, dedicated to the Mysteries of the Rosary. The monastery preserving over 200 statues made by the artists of the Scuola Intelvese was recently inserted by UNESCO in the World Heritage List.
The path with its 14 chapels leads to the Madonna del Soccorso sanctuary, which is mentioned in Pilgrims Progress. The legend talks about a deaf and dumb shepherdess that after finding the statue of the Virgin in a cave began to speak again. And for this reason a church was built here.
From here you can reach Alpe Boffalora and enjoy a lovely panorama that goes Val Perlana and reaches Alpe Lenno. Behind you can admire the beautiful Lake Lugano.
You can have lunch at the Rifugio where you'll taste local specialties and on the way back you can take an alternative route that goes down to S. Benedetto enjoying spectacular views.

Comments	Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour. La location est très fonctionnelle, agréable, bien équipée, bien située pour les visites, avec un extérieur très sympa. Les propriétaires ont été très accueillants tout en restant discret. Nous recommandons cette location.

Comments	Nous avons été très satisfaits, accueil bon, la propriétaire ne parle qu'italien (heureusement ok pour nous, mais...) et la maison était vraiment bien équipée: bon point pour le petit jardin. Système de clé un peu compliqué (il faut 7 clés différentes en tout!!!). Dommage que la vue du jardin soit bloquée en partie centrale par un toit de maison, auquel cas, la vue eut été exceptionnelle... mais encore une fois, trés bonne appréciation

Comments	Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen, die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und der See mit Bootsvermietung sowie der Wochenmarkt im angrenzenden Lenno sind auch zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Allerdings muss man auf dem Rückweg einen steilen Anstieg in Kauf nehmen. Ist aber kein Problem, wenn man gerne wandert. Für das Auto gibt es eine eigene Garage.
