Villa Oleandri is a beautiful semi-detached villa located in Lenno, a lovely small village on the western side of the lake Como, at only 8km away from Menaggio and 30km from the city of Como.
The villa is located on the ground floor, while the owners live in the apartment above. Although both the houses have their own entrance.
It has a wonderful garden of around 1300 m from where you can admire a breathtaking view. The villa has also a nice porch with chairs, sun beds and a table where you can lay in the shade and absorb the relaxed atmosphere that this beautiful place offers. There is also a barbecue outside where you can enjoy also an al fresco lunch or dinner during the hot summer months overlooking the lake.
The interiors of the houses create an enchanting atmosphere ideal for a holiday with friends or in the family.
The house is situated 800 meters away from the town centre where you can find a selection of bars, restaurants and shops and from the Lenno’s Lido, one of the nicest and most popular beaches of Lake Como.

DESCRIPTION OF THE VILLA
Semi-detached villa of around 100 sqm located on the ground floor composed of living room with large sofa and coffee table, large windows, Tv-SAT, DVD and stereo; dinette kitchen with oven and dishwasher; I bedroom with double bed and one single bed, wardrobe and bathroom with shower; a second bedroom with two single beds, wardrobe and bathroom with shower and washing machine. Large porch outside with table and chairs ideal for dining outside. Garden of around 1300 sqm with children’s playing area and barbecue with wonderful lake view. Bed linen and kitchenware included. Gas and electricity consumptions included in the price.
EXTRAS
Towels to be brought or can be rented (€5 per person).
Heating in regard to consumption €1/m3.
Final cleaning €70.
Small pets allowed: €50 per animal per stay.
CITY TAX (FROM THE 1ST APRIL TO THE 31ST OCTOBER 2012) : Euro 0,50 per person (over 12 years; -50% children under 12 years), per day - to be paid upon arrival for the first 7 nights.
Lenno is located in a deep inlet of the western bank of Lake Como, in one of the most fascinating parts of the lake called “Tremezzina”, renowned for its luxuriant vegetation and its calm waters.
The most beautiful villas, first from all Villa Balbianello spread out in this part of the lake. Villa Balbianello holds a fantastic position with views up and down the lake, with its gardens that are extraordinarily beautiful and its loggia that are absolutely worth a visit! A number of feature films have used the villa for location shooting, including Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones and the last 007 Casino Royale.
For those who like walking we recommend the “Greenway del Lago”, a wonderful walk along the lake discovering villas, gardens, Roman findings, quaint villages, restaurants, old Italian architecture, and expansive views. You can do the entire walk in one go in about 3 hours and a half, or if you prefer stop and continue with public transport. The whole Greenway is 10.5 km going through the villages of Colonno, Sala Comacina, Ossuccio, Lenno, Mezzegra, Tremezzo and Griante. The port of Lenno is connected with boats and hydrofoils of navigation to the main towns of the lake. Lenno has also a wonderful lake front promenade and a Lido with a fine sandy beach, restaurant, beach-bar and disco at night.
Not far from the village we find Giulino, where the morning of April 28th 1945, Benito Mussolini and Claretta Petacci were shot by the colonel Valerio in the Street XXIV Maggio. While in the high part of the Lenno you can visit the Abbey of the Acquafredda, dominating the whole village. From here you can reach through a safe mule track the Abbey of S. Benedict in Val Perlana, founded around the year 1080 within a two hour-walk.

Ein sehr schönes Haus in oberer Ortsrandlage mit einem liebevoll gepflegten Garten und einer Zauneinfriedung. Ideal für Kinder und Hunde, Familien, Paare und Freunde. Gute Küchen- und Geschirrausstattung in auch gutem Zustand. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die älteren Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, obwohl sie kein Deutsch oder Englisch sprechen.
Die Tochter spricht Englisch und ist zu den Übergaben anwesend.
Sie sind auch sehr hundelieb und auch Bellen ist für sie kein Problem.
Man kann diese Wohnung ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen. Hunde gibt es übrigens in fast jedem Garten.

Un immense merci pour votre accueil et votre générosité exceptionnels. La maison était encore au-delà de nos attentes. Nous ne pensions pas que la vue était si belle ni que les lits seraient faits à notre avis ! Ne pas manquer la promenade juste au-dessus de la maison, vers la "Madonna": les chapelles comme les points de vue sont superbes.

Die Wohnung ist großzügig geschnitten und sehr gemütlich. Sie ist sehr schön eingerichtet und hat einen direkten Zugang zu dem großen Garten mit sehr schöner Terassen-Möblierung. Der Garten wird von den Eigentümern, die im oberen Stockwerk wohnen, bewirtschaftet. Die Begrüßung war sehr herzlich und es wurden viele Informationen zum See und den Ausflugsmöglichkeiten gegeben. Die Wohnung liegt am Hang oberhalb des Sees, der ca. 2 km entfernt ist. Einen Supermarkt und Bäcker gibt es im Ort (ca. 2,5 km). Eine ideale Unterkunft für Leute, die zwar die Ruhe suchen, aber nicht allzu abgelegen wohnen wollen. Wandermöglichkeiten gibt es viele. Die Wohnung ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Prachtig, ruim huis met 2 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers. Privacy gewaarborgd. Eigenaren heel vriendelijk; spreken alleen Italiaans maar dochter spreekt Engels en is hulpvaardig.
Prachtig zicht richting het Comomeer. Loopafstand naar het meer verder dan verwacht; te ver lopen voor kleine kinderen. Wel prima te doen met de auto.
Huis zeer schoon. Lenno geweldig leuk. Niet te toeristisch.
Wij hebben er een heerlijke vakantie gehad en komen zeker terug.

On a l'impression d'etre dans une maison de famille et non dans une location impersonnelle
Tres belle vue sur le lac et Jardin tres agreable avec balancoire, cabane et toboggan pour les enfants le tout dans un quartier tres calme.
La situation est idéale pour visiter le lac de Come.
Les proprietaires sont charmants et tres acceuillants.

We waren er in de herfstvakantie met vrienden, en we hebben genoten van het huis met overdekt terras, het uitzicht, de rust, en de zeer vriendelijke eigenaars.
Naar het meer is ongeveer 1500 meter, met de auto 5 minuten.
Prachtige omgeving met vele mooie dorpjes en uitzichten, Prachtige villa`s met schitterende tuinen die een bezoek zeker waard zijn.
Zeer geschikt uitgangspunt voor dagtochten o.a. naar Lugano Zwitserland, Como of Milaan.

very good place to stay. above our expectations. Great garden with room and things to play for children (treehouse, swing). Service excellent, very clean and spacious. Very well equiped kitchen. Only point for improvement is that the beds are very hard. The surroundings are splendid, you are on the right side of the lake. Even the village Lenno has good restaurants and walking options even with small children. The region itself has no real children activities within 1.5 hours drive. But overall a very very good vacation place.

Perfect verblijf voor een prima vakantie.... Mooi groot appartement, goede ligging, super vriendelijke bewoners. Enige minpuntje is dat er geen eigen zwembad aanwezig is, maar door alle andere pluspunten wordt dit verder niet gemerkt.

The house was perfect for a family. We were 5 adults, on small child and a baby and we spent a lot of time in the house.
The village down the house is nice but not exceptional.
The surroundings, lake Como is OK but I believe Italy is a bit overrated.

Spacious and comfortable with a very homely feeling. Wonderful garden, beautifully maintained by the owner, with a great view of the lake. The only disadvantage is the long steep hill from the ferry and centre of Lenno if you haven't got a car, but your efforts are rewarded once you get to the house. Would suit couples, families, friends. We took my elderly, but fit parents, and had a very good holiday.

Wir waren in jeder Hinsicht sehr zufrieden. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt (incl. Waschmaschine).
Die Wohnung hat eine sehr schöne, große überdachte Terasse und einen schönen Garten mit Schaukel, Holzhaus und Rutsche - für Kinder also ideal.
Besonders hervorzuheben ist aber die ganz besondere Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Vermieter. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
