Villa delle Palme is a beautiful detached house located opposite the "Pian di Spagna" nature reserve, where the Mera River flows into Lake Como. This area, called "the Boschetto", includes a fair number of highly secluded villas, all with large gardens where peace and tranquillity reign.
It’s a perfect base for walks and bike rides: you can do long walks in the nature reserve Oasi Pian di Spagna, horse rides, outings on the river and on the Lake of Mezzola. It is also the ideal place to practise many water sports such as kite surf, sailing and windsurf. Close to the villa you will find the sand beach called La Punta where you can rent bicycles, peddle boats, canoes, surfboards and boats.
There is a big shopping centre with all sorts of shops at 5km away while there are a few good restaurants where you can taste local lake dishes at 2km away.
It has a wonderful garden of around 2000 m with chairs and sun beds where you can lay in the shade and absorb the relaxed atmosphere that this beautiful place offers. Place for two cars inside the property.
For families or group of friends who wish to spend their holiday together there is Villa degli Aceri at 50m away.

The villa, around 90 mqs, has a living room with fireplace, a sofa and armchair, long table with chairs, TV-SAT. Kitchen with oven, stove in 4 fires and large refrigerator. The two double rooms, one of which containing a bunk bed, are pleasant and elegantly furnished in ancient style. The bathroom, with WC, sink, bidet and tub, has recently been renewed and it has a washing machine. In the big garage there is enough room to park the car, bicycles and place wind/surf boards. A second car can be parked inside the garden. Furnished garden with chairs and sun beds. The green beach is about 200 meters away and the sandy beach is 300 meters away from the villa.
Bed linen included. Consumptions of light, water and gas included.

Sorico is an ancient fishing village on the northwest shore of Lake Como. Its territory extends round the river Mera, which connects Lake Mezzola and the Pian di Spagna. Since ancient times, thanks to its strategic position, it has been a place of passage and commercial exchange. Together with Dongo and Gravedona, it made up the County of the Trepievi, the three Superior Parishes of Lake Como. What to visit: the nature reserve Oasi Pian di Spagna. The name of this protected area,Pian di Spagna, derives from a sequence of historical events in the region: foreign invasions, battles, followed by flourishing commercial traffic, but more than anything for its landscape. The oasis is characterised by a combination of natural phenomenon: lakes, rivers, canals, ponds, croplands, reed-beds and woods. All provide ample opportunities to observe a wide range of bird species. The exceptionality of this swampy area, today a natural reserve, is the fact of it being one of the very few internationally important humid areas in an Alpine country. It’s a paradise for hundreds of protected specie and it is where deer that populate the area come to drink.Built in 1447. Of the primitive construction remain the apses, the beautiful entrance and some of the walls and the impressive bell tower.The church of St. Miro that’s the result of the enlargement of the 12th century church of St. Michele the Novate Mezzola Lake, located at North of Lake Como. Its name derives from “dimidiatus”, “half lake” and is now less than 50 meters deep; it will eventually dry out completely leaving a simple riverbed that will wind through the plain. This little pond is declared protected area and shelter for migratory birds from the Region of Lombardy.

Comments	La décoration est vieille mais pour dormir c'est suffisant. L'emplacement de la maison est bien : - au nord du lac, cela permet d'aller dans la vallée Valtellina pour aller faire du rafting, visiter la reserve naturelle à kayak... - pas loin des villes d'embarquement (Varenna ? je me souviens plus) pour faire du tourisme sur le lac
