		Finestra sull’ isola belongs to a residence of only 20 apartments set in an elevated position within a quiet sunny location, sharing a lovely swimming pool (12 x 4 m) overlooking one of the nicest parts of the lake : Isola Comacina. The residence is located in Sala Comacina, one of the most distinctive places on the lake, on the western shore of Lake Como between Como and Menaggio In the last century this pretty little village was already considered to be an important holiday destination, as is demonstrated by the many villas scattered along the lakeside which were built as holiday homes for famous writers and wealthy families. Villa Rachele that belonged to the family of Cesare Beccaria is an example: it stands on the promontory and is very famous for the many literary figures that stayed here, among them Alessandro Manzoni and Cesare Cantù. In front of village you can see the only island in the lake, 'Isola Comacina', accessible by boat. Here you can visit the small Romanesque style church of S. Giovanni and the even older church of Sant’Eufemia which dates back to the 11th century. Just a short distance from here you can visit Villa Carlotta, with its wonderful botanical garden and the statue of Canova inside. 		The Residence I Pini Marittimi is at Griante-Cadenabbia, one of the most beautiful parts of the lake. This area, called "Tremezzina", is made even more agreeable by its microclimate: both the summer and winter seasons are very appealing, with mild temperatures for 10 months a year. Several world famous celebrities have villas here (Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Versace, etc.). The American actor Brad Pitt recently bought a wonderful villa here right on the lake, where he comes with his Hollywood friend George Clooney to spend long holiday periods away from the spotlights and chaos of Los Angeles. If you decide to spend a holiday at Griante, you will risk to bump into celebrities from the world of football, show business and fashion at the baker's or newsagent's. George Clooney recently declared in the American press and on television that he loves Lake Como and has rediscovered himself and the values he believes in, in the beautiful lake scenery. You can take ferries from here to all other lake locations, nearby Como and the noble Lugano with its casinos which liven up the night life. You can sunbathe beside the swimming pool (8 x 4 m), where there is an equipped solarium with deckchairs, gazebo, table and garden chairs, which the guests and owners may freely use. The flat on the ground floor has the garden around the house. The other one on the first floor uses the garden and solarium surrounding the swimming pool. All the flats have a wonderful view of the lake and Bellagio. The old town centre is about 500 m away, with shops, bars and restaurants nearby. There is a white beach about 200 m away. The flats are modestly and simply furnished, and heated with a wood burning stove or electric heater.

It has 2000 sq.m of garden, equipped with garden chairs, tables and deckchairs. It has an excellent view which reaches as far as the Bellagio peninsular and the surrounding mountains. It was the old residence of the Countess, who loved to spend her holidays here at the end of the XVIII century. You can enjoy a wonderful panorama from the heated swimming pool (12 X 5.5 m). Each flat overlooks the pool and has an excellent view of the lake. You can have lunch or sunbathe on the terraces without going down to the swimming pool, which is lit up at night, thus creating an unforgettable scene and atmosphere. 		RESIDENZA VILLA LE MAGNOLIE
		Residenza Villa Le Magnolie is a wonderful antique residence restored and transformed into six independent apartments that are rented as holiday homes, situated in a sunny location, at 150 meters from the coastal road close to the beach and the lake, in Domaso on the beautiful northern shore of Lake Como. The property, almost entirely preserved in its original form outside, opens on a courtyard with private parking space for each apartment; green area and stairs leading to the residence. It is composed of two two-room apartments with covered porch on the ground floor; a two-room apartment and a three-room apartment with terrace on the first floor and a two-room apartment and a three-room apartment with independent entrances at the back of the building and direct access to the solarium and pool; the apartments of different sizes are very bright, with panoramic views, pleasantly decorated, fully furnished and provided with every comfort (fully equipped kitchen, independent heating, tv-sat). The terraces and porches have garden furniture for dining al fresco or relaxing while sunbathing. Lovely solarium with swimming pool (10x5) at the back of the residence immersed amid rich vegetation in pleasant surroundings where peace and quiet reign supreme. A barbecue is also provided. Time flies here, and guests may relax while sunbathing on comfortable sun beds or reading under the shade of a parasol. The tree blossoms, exuding a particularly inebriating scent in the spring and in September, are delightful. Domaso’s centre with its busy harbour, shops, bakeries and restaurants is reachable within walking distance (300m). The harbour is connected with boats and hydrofoils of navigation to the main towns of the lake. Domaso is considered to be one of the most important centres for water sports like windsurf or sailing thanks to the mild weather the lake's breeze called "Breva". The village offers many sport opportunities: tennis-courts, football-grounds, fitness centre, windsurf and water-skiing schools. Domaso offers also a wide beach and a panoramic lakeside boardwalk. For young people who look for some nightlife there are several pubs, bars and restaurants.
